Frozen

What can I say about this cutest film. The music score fantastic. Let It Go by Idina Menzal moved me so much. Its all about accepting yourself and society. I totally related Frozen as an LGBT related film in that the Princess' Sister(Elsa) wanted to be alone where she can be "who she wants to be" etc., I highly recommend the film. Film totally enojyable. Black NAtivity

Very difficult to write up a review on this title. Even as I write this I still can't think of what to wright. From my understanding, a son is put onto a bus to NYC as the mother cannot afford the bills, the son undergoes a change while living with his estranged family.

The Butler

Most impressive film to date. I can smell Oscar winning performance. THe best has to go to Forestor WHitaker. and Opera WInfrey. Twas most moving. What the Colored people had to go through. All that was going through my head was Gay Rights Gay Rights. Even though the film had nothing to do with gays or LGBT or anything of the sort. Gay Rights has recently being compared to the Civil Rights movements of da 1920s to 1960s period. Well played. The plot is very simple yet very powerful. The film tells the story of a Bulter who has served under several US  Presidents: Namely Presidnt Eisenhower, Reagan, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Obama. (The two PResidents missing, we're not mentioned. Possibly the two Bushes) while at the same time, America is undergoing change, Vietnma is being faught, which all affect the Butler's life and his family and America as a whole. So powerful. Highly Recommended.

The Family

What to say about this particular film. Judging from the Trailer, I expected to be about a family on the run as they are mobsters of Italian decent. Well actually BRooklyn NY. While it did live up to it the plot I mean, I found the film to be a bit loosing at times. Comedy was defo a part of the action. No doubt. At the end thou without me ruining for those who havnet seen it, I was most impressed with the acton in it. I was very nerving throughout the end of the film right til the film finished. OVerall HIghyl Recommended

Philomena

Philomena was a very impressive movie. Very moving, no doubt about that. Judi Dench who played Philomena a very impressive performance. I can smell an Oscar on its way to the actress. The plot of the film very simple but so powerful to the point that I cried meself to sleep last night. Simply put, the story tells of a woman who by the way is actually a true story, is looking for her son which was forcibly given up for adoption. The woman herself was in the Magdalen Laundries. In those days it was shunned or frowned upon to have sex out of wedlock and therefore the Sisters, gave children away to couples who wanted children. Philomena's child was given up. Throughout the film, it was found that the son was gay and died of AIds. and he served or at least was a member of the Ronald Reagan Administration, which we the audience were very impressed.

The Irish Govt and Irish Religious Orders were recently this year under fire for compensation for the treatment the women recieved while in the Laundries. I felt so sorry for them. We all did. Steve Coogan's character Martin a journalist was most impressive. Now am not a fan of his character of Alan PArtridge, prob never will, but the film portrayed a different side to him. Philomena went over to America where the Couple had taken him to, and found out that he was buried back in ROscrea where the Magdalene Laundries were. ONe of the Sisters involved in the whole ordeal was Sr. Hildeberg(something like that). In that she even went as far as, Martin(Coogan) questioning her, not knowing the hardship Philomena went through, Sr. Hildeberg just replied "God will judge me". and in a fit of rage he replies "If Jesus was here, he'd fuck you right out of that wheelchair. ". I prob would have said worse things, cause I don't agree one bit with the Religious Orders what happened. Afterall they wouldn't even support her not one bit.

Very impressive film. The plot is very basic a simple guy addicted to porn but at the same time very religious. Goes to mass every week or whatever. The film life's lesson very simple, Addiction. My rate of it, enjoyable to look at esp to watch My Hunky Burn in Love. Awwwww

Saturday's Visit to HOmophobes

I went to visit one of my homophobes over da weekend ie with a view of getting back with them. It was a very nerving visit as can b expected. However two things were said to me to resolve this whole thing. They seemed under da illusion dat they n others were very well accepting of my sexualaity. One of da items mentioned is to have a meeting with everyone who did me wrong n get to da btm of this. As my therapist n sis says normally anyone coming out dont usually keep dwelling on it for several years let alone weeks r months r whatever. While i welcome it cautiously it was da 2nd item dat got me. They said dere quote not mine: "we cud bring you to court if u weren't family" I was gobsmacked. This in relation to da emails. I didn't defam anyone. It was out of anger but at the same time da truth. And as I can't bear da loss of my inflatables n my Puppies I began strangling myself unconsciously n a bit consciously with my blankies. Nearly passed out I did. Da whole nine yards. BUT let me tell u something dat either weird r miraculous r whatever when all dis was happening I was struggling to breath n I remember opening my door for air and what did I c??? but my beloved Inflatables outside n me still chocking. I cried my heart out when I saw dis. Only for dem I cudve done da inevitable. My therapist did say I was "cheerier" dan when he first met me. I explained dat it was probably because my honeymoon period was over. I was wit my folks my sis. Was in da best of form. My sisters visit da best in a long time. my neighbors ie da homephobes da night before etc. Now I wasn't suicidal no intention of doing it. With me it just happens without me knowing

Ender's Game

I enjoyed this film immensely. However I found the film to be of completely different plot to what I had expected. I had expected that the team were fighting the aliens who were trying to take over the humans in real life however the whole film concentrated on one thing TRAINING. This really bothered me or as Father Ted "Frankly it bored the arse off me" - hahaha. If the director is to get this going Harry Potter financially, it'd better do a bit more than training. Im glad thou the twist was a give away ie the main character Ender is going to save the alien's baby or something like that. It was very touching when Ender realised that the Aliens planet was blown up completely and this really upset him, he all alone thought it was a Test before the final, but unfortunately it was all so real. I was really touched that Enders really cared at the end. ALien's mightned speak our language or mightned be our friend, but at the end of the day, they are there for a reason.  So why not try and find out first before.

Thor 2: The Dark World

I found the film very heartwarming. Enjoyed it immensely. Great action no doubt. Far better than the first one in my opinion. The PLot simply is Mackivliv(Pls accept my apologies for the wrong spelling for all you MArvel fans) tries to take over the world via Science - Yes you heard dat right. Science. Great action flick. However couple of pointers thou. I can't get da connection of how Loki(THor's Bro), didnt die. Just don't get it. If anyone could explain, I'd b much obliged.

Escape Plan

The Escape Plan was fantastic. Great comedy was had by all. Totally enjoyed it. THe plot simply was about a Federal Bureau Prisoner guy who attempts to escape prisons. He does this for a living. The comedy in it was so cool. Especially with Schwarzenegger. Fantastic performance.

So it seems ppl in the Republican PArty chose to be bigots. with the exception of this Congress PERson. She chose to educate her child of 4th grade THat ppl who like the opp sex AND the same sex are PERFECTLY NORMAL. Later in the interview, there was an interview on radio on the MArriage Equality debate, the son who at the time was 12 yrs blurts WHO REALLY CARES who ppl really marry. And so she proudlyinly says "My Work Here is done". FAire play to you Congress. Now USE UR POWERS TO GET RID OF da Virus u have amongst ur citizens. I can't even bare to use it, for fears of da nightmares coming back.

Film was very impressive. Very cute. Plot very simple, a Gardem Snail after seeing on TV wishes he become a Racing snail ie Much faster than a garden snail. Quote from the film "Unlimited .... Unlimited Spirits. Another similar quote"“no dream is too big, and no dreamer is too small.”"

Overall impressive.

The Fifth Estate

Film not so impressive. So complex even for me to understand. It tells the story of Julius Assange and his mate relating to the WikiLeaks website. My mate whom I went with asked me which side would I be,
 The Govt Side where they keep the secrets etc., OR Some website that leaks that PRIVATE information. Up until this post, I was still unsure, but writing this post, has made things slightly clearer now. And so here it is, I find the leaking stuff to the media, without making sure it really is true wrong. THats why there are regulators.

Now You See Me

Most impressive film, So cool the way it had you on your edge of ur seats. The plot is basically about 4 magicians who don't know each lt other, are brought together to rob a  bank via magic. At the end of the film it is revealed a shocking character(which I won't reveal) was the cause of all of this. Excellent work guys. Oh and I can't leave out my hottie of this film. The character who played Jack(Dave Franco - Jame's Franco's(Oz - THe Great and Powerful) brother)

Sunshine On Leith

Yesterday(Friday), I went along to the most anticipated film waiting. When I saw the trailer, I told my friends, I was most looking forward to it. Well by George did it live to its name. Music was provided by The Proclaimers  The plot of the film or Genre was one word. "Love". The hubbie cheated on his wife(but this happened yrs ago), One of the Army guys went back to the army, because the love of his life was emigrated to Miaimi, FLorida, in the United States  the film ended with a  wonderful rendition of 500 Mile where the other Army guy did agree to continue seeing an English.  One of da scenes dat was a bit heartbreaking was da scene at the beginning where I saw a coffin of one of da characters had died. All I was thinking of was my dear Uncle. Clearly I wont ever forget him.

White HOuse Down

I went along with me buddy Brendan, to see the film White House Down. I must say it was a very good film. Plenty of action gauraunteed. Totally enjoyed it. My friend who has been in the States in the past, taught me a few political terminology and likesiewise the film in question. For example to blow up da White House in question has a particular name, to call up da missiles from differnet locations of da globe dat is ie in OHio etc., etc., I was very impressed with it. Plus who could forget our lovable Channing. awwww. Mr. President was very played by Jamie. But what brought me to tears throughtout da film, was da little girl played John's Daughter Emily(John played by Channing), everytime the little girl who was about 10 or 11 was beaten while she was held captured. Put a gun to her head etc., All that went trhough my mind was would something happen to her sexually let alone killing(Ireland has recently being racked with horrific whereby 2 or 3 children ages between 6 or 11 was lured from a birthday party and reptetley sexually raped). With this stroy thats what was going through my mind, when da kid in da film went through almost the same.  Then she brought the President's Flag out(can't remember the name), it was a signiature to ABORT MISSION of blowing up da WHite House). IT was a fantasitc film, with a bit of comedy.  Well played and accted. One thing to note though from the film both at the beginning and the end, the President in the film, loved a "THing". That was the Helipcopter went up towards the White House from the Monument. What a lovely scenery it is.

Saturday Night

I went along to a dinner with Gay freinds, I've never met before. Totally enjoyed. we had dinner in Millstone Redtaurnt on Dame Streeet. The Dinner was fanatsatic, but service a total disgrace. They clearly can't deal with large groups. I had a fantastic night. Noramlly when I itnroduce my self to a person I don't spill my guts as one would say, but when he said hes out by a year I think, I jsut spilled it. Don't know why.

WEnt along to the World Vegetarian Day in iBAT College, Dublin. Very well put toegher. So dleighted with it. As I was on me way to my Sister's palce, I came across these two very suspicious characters at our Governemtn Buildings Departments ie The Department of Local Governemtn and Environement. I thought they were teroriesits or something or protest. So I says what could be worse than to see whats going on. Low and Behold They were shooting a scene for part of the movie Mrs. Brown's Boys D-Movie. I was even talking to one of characters. ROry Cowan(Rory Brown). He was chatting as if he remember me from the Front Lounge a few years ago with my ex.

Runner Runner

I would usually start off my review of the film with the Plot of the film. I just simply can't. Could not understand head nor tale of the film. YOu'd have to be a knowledge of cards ie Poker etc., The film is surrounded in a casino environment. My friend tried explaining it to me.

Although it didn't help when the theatre was extremely cold as ice. It was as if we were in a freezer.

I went along to an Open Evening of LGBT Empowerment. It was quite interesting. It should help me to deal with my homophobia. It may or it may not. You never know.

But for some strange reason, after I left my friend +Brendan Eoin O'Farrell as I was traveling down Donnybrook anyways, I said I might pop into Maureens for a few mins considering the time(around 10pm evening). However when I went to the house Sr. Brid answered(by means of talking through the window) however as I couldn't hear her, I just left. I thought she was saying "A bit late don't ya think" or maybe she was asking who I was, I responded err George.But either way I left.

After Maureen's I travelled along da Quays an d said why not try Todds and see what happens. As his car wasn't there, I headed on home.

So then I travelled along Alfie Byrne Rd, Malahide then Griffith Ave., I decided to see if I c Ailish and Noels when I got thoughts saying I'm sorry etc., etc., and see what would come about. But as I there car werent there, I headed on home.

Now I was an hr and a half travelling. The fact that I even thought of visint Maureen, AIlish and Noel - that must mean something. Am I ready or what??? THen on the other hand, may be it was fate telling me that Im not. Who knows. Ill try another day.

Saturday Night Fever

COnsidering the film was back in the 80s. THe music was fantastic. Looking at the Twin Towers got me a bit emotional, BUT and I say this with a big one, when the song More than A Woman(Bee Gees), was being song, all I could think of was Corey singing it in the Glee version of Saturday Nights Fever. It brought tears to my eyes.

Diana

I went to see Diana film on Friday with my mate +Brendan Searson . I found it a heart warming film. Very emotional esp at the end. It told the story of Princess DIana(Princess of Wales) last 2 years of her short life. I never knew she had an affair with a Dr. while she was divorced from Prince Charles. However my friend pointed out that the film got it all wrong and said that she was with a person known as Dodi. However in the film, she was with a Pakistani Heart Surgeon. Either Way it was very moving.

One thing that really annoyed me was that the Media, Newspapers etc., really made her out to be a bad person when clearly she was a wonderful person. Im speaking from both aspects the film and the person herself. The media totally completely twisted her words in the infamous BBC Interview she did.

She was a "People pleasure". The ROyal Family clearly didn't want her. Which is completely outrageous.

The Way Way Back

Was pretty cool. Liam so me, when I was young. Duncan(Liam James) finds console in working ina  water park. I found the place it was shot in so cool and adorable.
One Thing I found so remarkable cause I can relate was the following quote
Trent: ON a scale of 1 to 10 how do you rate yourself. Duncan replies with a 6. However Trent played Steve Carell blatantly said 3.
Later in the film, when Duncan poured his heart out to Owen, he movingly said the above quotes to Owen. This was very moving.

Flight Fest

Hey all,

Went to the Flight Fest 2013.

 It was specactualr. Totally enjoyed every moment of it. Was with +Brendan Eoin O'Farrell . The last time this even occured was 1936. 135000 ppl attended. 40000 viewed on the Internet. About 15 planes were on dispaly as in the Air Show.

Masters of the UNiverse

Not bad a movie. Considering the 80s movies. I quite enjoyed it. Had a good plot. There was a bit of confusion at first. However when it was sorted, it was all good.

Jack Reacher

Simply put, The movie is about a cop trying to find out who committed the murders, the action when Jack was involved was incredible, however very slow moving. So I wouldn't be too quick in seeing it in a hurry.

WE're THe Millers

Hey all,

I went with my good friend +Brendan Eoin O'Farrell to see WE're The Millers in Cineworld. I must say it was the best I've seen to date. Great comedy and laughs was had by all. The audience ie the viewers in the Cinema was so engaging  ie interacting. With laughters etc., A great line for all you homophobes, "If u ain't like suciking dick, then us a homophobe." ANother line being "Real life Flanders" considering the character did look like Flanders with the stash and all. And Finally at the very end of the film, where they do all the bloopers n gags, we were treated to The Friends THeme tune as a tribute. Twas very moving. Considering the TV Show was on for about 10yrs. As Jennifer Ansiton was in the movie it was more than adequate. PLus I've a major Crush on my new hottie Will Poult.
