Victor Frankenstein

I travelled along tot eh film with a friend of mine. His synopsis of the film: "Interesting", which no doubt so true. The Visual Effects, class. Oh and the baby, mmmm MUSIC. It was fantastic. BUT not what I had quiet expected. Like Frankenstein being the MONSTER turned out to be the story of its CREATOR aka Victor Frankenstein(McEvoy). As I said and I'll say it again, I don't care for body parts being tested or even being shown on TV, as I said to my mate, thank god I had finished my nachos.

We meet Igor(Radcliffe) and his new boss Victor Frankenstein. Victor found Igor in a circus. They together try to create a monster ie LIFE from a dead body. Something to that effect.

Pixels

Well what a movie it turned out to be. Kevin James who plays the President, provided a fantastic score. He brought along his King of Queens humor and laughter. I was literally breaking my sides laughing on a constant basis. It was activating my soar throat. Thats how funny it was.

It basically tells a story of the classic video games that the Aliens mistaken to be destroying their planet. Adam Sandler who played Brenner, wasn't too bad. I'm not a fan of the actor. But in this case I found him to be at home. The film starts off with a group of young kids playing video games in the arcade. It is then announced at a convention that NASA is to send a Time capsule sorting a thing to Space. However the Aliens misinterpret and start attacking Earth with all they've got. They come in the shape Donkey Kong, Pac - Man etc., All the oldies. All the crew get together to save the world.

The Close Encounter of the Third Kind

Well, what can I say about this movie. Plot very misleading, more so confusing. The effects for a 1977's movie quite good actually. From what I could gather Alien's are fooling Earth, well more so an area in USA. One father is loosing  his mind, literally. Likewise another Mother too. The Mother looses her son to the Aliens and the Father well the Alien's took his mind, hahaha. Then the Father tries to get to the bottom of this, The Mother also tags along with him, while both eventually finds the the truth. Which is quite amazing actually. Its to do with a government Conspiracy. Then again, the aliens to pop out of the Space Ship afterwards. Firstly thou the humans that were abducted including the Mother's son Barry.

Oh my god, like, just wow. What a movie. It was fantastic. Plot was kinda simple. Kyle Reese(Courtney) being the FATHER to John Connor(Clarke) and Sarah Connor's(Clarke) love interest was sent back to help out Sarah. heheeh. Kyle what a babe the actor was. awwwww. Again great music when I saw Hans Zimmer, awwww my gawd. I think he shud give up his wife or partner and marry me. hahaha. I just So love his music. eheheh.

Tomorrowland: A World Beyond

Not what I had expected. The trailer was very intriguing and convincing. Plot very confusing. Everytime the girl touches a pin, she is in a new world. It is then found that she was part of a recruit group.

Chappie

What a wonderful but heartfelt film  Tells a story of a robot known as Chappie, help's save the world. He's known as a Black Sheep. Ie "different". The plot is quite simple but at the same time VERY difficult to understand coding. Chappie became to being when he was fighting with the the human police, he was shot with a rifle by Hippo(Auret). So as such Chappie is put aside. Deon(Patel) is working on a piece of code that will upload human consicnece to a robot. So Deon steals a Guard Key. Vincent(Jackman) is hot on his tale thou. Making up stories etc., Vincent even goes as far as to DISABLE the whole lot of the Robot Police. While on the other hand, another storyline exists. That Chappie was "Stolen" by Ninja and Yolandi to help them with a heist to get money for to give back to Hippo. Etc. So very well loved by all, very heartwarming film.

Jupiter Ascending

Film was good. Visual affects astounding. Great rising star no doubt. Music not too bad, in fact its probably the only reason I kept going back. haahah. But very lost throughout. Even though I saw it about 4 or 5 times, still lost. As my American mate says, very "weird" film. hahah.

Very children's film. Great plot. Aliens v humans. The family go on a vacancies for 4th July. They encounter aliens in the attic. One of the Aliens(mole I says hahah), acts all so human like, and is adopted by the youngest girl. awwww. So the "Mole", helps the humans out. So the alien invasion all "retreat"

The World's End

A Group of friends, make a pact of doing a pub crawl of several pubs in Newton Haven. Gary(Pegg), Andy(Frosty), Steven(Considine),  Pete(MArsan), They are in one of the pubs that they are drinking. A bit of poignancy in that, one of the lads, talks about how he was bullied when he was younger  by the lad who came over to ask for the seat. It went really through him. So when Gary goes to the gents, he encounters very strange behavior in that the crowd that "he couldn't recongise" all attempt to attack the musketeers. The ppl are all looking at the guys very strangely. As it happens, the lads are explained to that they are all robots. Despite them knowing the truth Gary insists on completing the pub crawl. haha. Both Gary and Andy get into a further brawl. Whereby Gary pulls the Draught in a pub ie the World's End. It is then revealed that the Human Race is to be saved. Basic plot Gary is trying to gather up everyone from his younger days to finish off a mission: "1 night, 5 guys, 12 pubs, 60 pints". This is to all happen in Newton Haven. When they arrive, the towns people don't recognise em, and hence when the action begins. As it happens,  the townspeople have been converted to Robots. Some have specified that Robots are "slaves"

Overall the film was fantastic. At first I was a bit apprehensive at first. In that I thought it'd only be just about drinking and getting drunk. Then at about a half hour into the film, it started to get excited. You'd have to feel for the Gary character as he's an alcoholic. But you'd have to admire  him for one thing. He made a pact with the group when he was younger and he's making every effort NO MATTER the trouble he's in, to complete ALL 12 PUBS.

Great comedy was had indeed. One of the "Blanks" as they're known as or Androids "Andy, I want you inside me". He grabs the Wedding ring inside her "tummy" and then says "Cheers".

During an altercation, to stop Gary drinking his LAST pint ie 12th Pint, he pulls the wrong draught. So an Altercation occurs with words exchanged between the head boss as one would say

"We are the human race, and we don't like being told what to do. "
Asked what they wanna do, Gary replies "We wanna be free", we wanna be free to do what we wanna do"

"It is our basic human right to be fuck ups. This civilization was founded on fuck ups, and you know what. That makes me proud. "

Interstellar

Well what a movie this one turned out to be. It blue me out of my mind. heheheh. In my personal opinion, you would have to have a great extensive knowledge on Physics in particular with Space Travel. Like Space-Time Continuum etc., I was lost there. When I saw that Hans Zimmerman was providing the Music Score, I was saying, looks like another Batman movie taking a trip ie seeing it a few times. By golly did it live to its name, ie the Music. The plot was kinda difficult to portray more so my lack of knowledge of the Physical. Earth basically is running out of resources. So Cooper(McCounaghey) along with TARS(Irwin-voice) - the most adorable thing. heeheh, Instantly fell in love with him. hehehehe, Brand(Hathway). Romlliy(Gyasi), Getty(Grace). Cooper leaves behind, Murph(Foy(10yrs), Chastain(), Burtsyn(ODLER)), Tom(Chalamet(15yrs)Affleck()). At the beginning of the film, we see videos. Now I suspect these were the people who either survived or lived trough or whatever the Dust Storm back in the hey day. Cooper heads up on the mission as recruited by Professor Brand(Brand's Daughter(Caine)). He however as we later learn, forgot to mention One titchey weenye thing. And that is, THEY NEVER COME BACK. There're mission or so they understood, was to find a place to get back. While they are on the mission, they encounter Dr. Mann(Damon). Who later reveals to em the truth, and tries to sabotage the plan. The plan was that they start Civilization on the new planet. And to FORGET about Earth. Cooper was given a choise of "You might have to decide between seeing your children again and the future of the human race.". Another thing, I have to mention were the VIEWS. Oh it was heaven. Looking at Earth from the Station. I repeated several times to myself, that I can only imagine what the iMAX will be like. Oh boi. Sadly Getty looses his life in one of the mission goes awry.

The Maze Runner

Well I quite frankly find hard to what genre put it as. It was quite entertaining actually. Quite alotta cuties too. eheheh. Thomas(O' Brien -mmm), has shown up literally in a box. He is sent to a weird place of which is unbeknownst to anyone. He befreinds a group of lads: Alby(Ameen), Newt(Brodie-Sangster), Minho(Lee) who is an elite group of Runners. Bottomline of the plot, the boys of which Alby was the first, must live by Primitive surroundings such as building a house to live etc., etc., all live in this surrounding. The Runners are a group  of elite boys. They go into the maze to find a way to escape. It is then found in the end that Thomas actually was one of many people that sent them all down, hence why Gally(Poulter) Never trusted him from day one. When Alby and Ben(Sheffield) both say "It's all your fault", Thomas begins and continues to rethink. During ONE courageous move by Thomas, he and the Runners encounter a Greever kill it. Then they see a device that leads the lads to a possible escape. During the film, a "girl" by the name of Terasa(Scodelario) arrives. They find it so strange. 1 girl and several lads. So overall wonderful film, very difficult to place a genre on it. heehehe

The Giver

Well, what to say about this particular film. I found it quite interesting. In that in my personal opinion the plot wasn't one bit structured. O don't get me wrong, I did find the main character Jonas(Thwaites) very cute. From what I gather, it was a film, whereby they had to use "Precise Language", e,g if they used the word "Love", please use the "Precise Language". The plot was so not what IMDB or anyone else tells me. I didn't get it anyways. However, it was heartwarming thou. The fact that IMDB's 10 Line policy says it all about my review of the film.

Lucy

One word came out of the cinema with me. Science. The plot of the story is Lucy(Johansen) is abducted and to be used as a drug mule. The crowd literally put the bag of CHG4 into her body under her abdomen. I didn't care thou for OPERATIONS onscreen. Again I repeat, if you want to see that sort of thing, go and look at Grays Anatomy or whatever. The producers shud take into consideration that NOT EVERYONE is into seeing blood or the opening of a body. The amount of disgust and quisy that I could hear beside me etc., Again the I didn't mind it. There's only a certain amount a person can take. Like seeing a body being cut open on camera, and Lucy NOT feeling pain. That is the plot thou. Other than that, I found the film to be of excellent value and education. I was delighted to see the film travelling back in time, even to the point of how the Earth was made. I most impressed with that. Put simply, Lucy was used as a drug mule to transport from one city to another etc., etc., But things went awkwardly wrong, as Lucy(Johansan) was kicked in the stomach, where the stuff, the CHG4 was implanted in her abdomen.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Most impressive film to date. I got emotional thou when his mother passed away ie possibly of cancer or something. The film starts of with family members including Young Peter(Oleff). The mother wants him to hold his hand, and he couldn't bring himself to. He's about to but she goes and its too late. So in a fit of upset, he goes out. He is then abducted by a spaceship. The plot from what I could gather was that Nova PRime(Close) were recruiting a group of misfits. Rocket(Cooper); Drax(Dave Bautista); Groot(Diesal); Gamora(Zoe Saldana) and of course Peter who is now grown up acted by Chris Pratt. Excellent action, NO question. Excellent comedy. Great humor. It is then found in the end that the Baddy - ROnin is wanting to destroy the galaxy Sanders(something like that). To prevent this, the Guardians of the Galaxy strategise a plan. Sadly Groot passes away, but Rocket gets a stick(from Groot) and he begins to grow again. I was expecting to see Peter aka StarLord shirtless as seen in the XPose interview, however got more than we bargained for. We saw him in his undies. Now how hot is that. Damn. mmmm. Its a bit similar to Avengers. In that major characters from the Marvel universe are gathered and attempted to kill the baddie as i like to call em. heheeheh. Overall a wonderful film.

Earth To Echo

Well I don't really have much to say about this particular film, for the very reason, there wasn't much bagged into the 90 or so minutes. The film surrounds 3 kids together who are breaking up friendships as one of em is actually moving. Alex(Halm), Tuck(Astro), Munch(Hartwig) and Emma(Wahlestedt) are all going about their daily young teenage lives. Alex has been moved around from home to home. Each has a store. Or as I'd to say, "Everyone has a story". They are video tapping there very last NIGHT together as Alex is moving to another State. and from what I understand as is everyone else. They are on a journey to a desert of some-form when their cell phones are "hacked" into. They follow the map. Then shortly afterwards, they find that as my friend puts it "Modern version of ET". An Alien. So  the Alien who has been named "Echo" is wanting one goal, and that is HOME. He simply wants to go home. But to do that he needs to get materials to build a spaceship and to go home. Everytime Echo wanted something, he'd make sure he would. So bottomline, NOT enough action or awesomeness eg ONLY one item of Echos ability was portrayed, which was the scene of the truck, the Alien was able to break up the lorry and reconnect it up. It was Most disappointing. It's a freakin' Alien, they producers should have put buckets of the alien's abilities other than bringing in the parts of the Spaceship. One thing thou as the alien brought was "Togetherness". As I said, in the above, that friends will be dispersing and moving separately. However one thing that came out of this was that the Alien or Echo as is his name, brought and left us this quote: "Distance is just a state of mind". Now considering, I DO Distance friendship by the bucketful. I fully endorse or agree with this quote. Distance is indeed a state of mind. But we do have an aspiring actor. Teo Halm. Not only is he adorable, but his acting amazing.
