The Hole

The plot of the movie was quite simple. In that Dane(Massoglia), his bro Lucas(Gamble) and their next door neighbor with whom Dane possible fancies Julie(Bennett) all find a hole. How they come about it is simple. Dane, Lucas and their Mom Susan(Polo) have only moved in to the neighborhood. Dane is not so impressed with all of this. Lucas desires his bro's attention big time. So on one occasion, Lucas comes across Susan their next door neighbor and points to Dane's window. Dane ain't  impressed with this, and sets about to kill him. heheeh. Then on the confrontation, they both encounter The Hole, as per title of the film. Now it would appear, the reason for the hole, is one word FEAR. They each all of a have a fear of something. Lucas has a fear of clownes, Dane has a fear of his father, and Susan has a fear of her mate who sadly passed away by saying to Susan "Why didn't you save me". They all have to encounter their fears each of em. And fight em all. When all has been completed, They open the Hole and as it happens, we all see the Pipe works of the house. Just about the film finishes, Lucas asks their Mom if she has any fears etc., As it happens she fears "monster is under her bed". "Oh dear what have I done " Lucas asks. The film ends on that note.

Now for the film actual review. I found the film was lacking in COMEDY horror. The channel I found this film on was to be of COMEDY horror. It was more creepy if you ask me. Then again, I found the horror aspect easy to digest. It was on my to see list.

Gremlins 2: New Batch

Gremlins(Review here), introduced us to the cute Furby doll called Gizmo. We were also introduced to the rules. Well for Gremlins 2, this was also followed up. I still failed to understand how the BADDIES gremlins came to be from the cutsy pop. heheeh

The plot simply is the Gremlins this time attack a Cable Network company that Billy who works at the Cutie pie Gizmo from the first film.

Daddy gets a gift in China OR Chinatown). Its for Christmas. for his son.

He got the son a Gremlin. The son was given a rules. One of which was NO Bright Lights, NO WATER. Well as it happens, Gremlin or Gizmo as its named. or Chinese Mugwai. So adorable and fluffy. The sounds. Just melting me constantly. heheeh.

There were a group of gremlins, that were evil and casued havoc with the town.

Few faults to point out. Horror and CHristmas?????
When Mugwai was accidentally in water, he multipleid. But how did they turn evil???

SO overall, Mugwai so adorable like a FUrby. Bit too guey for my likeing

As Above, So Below

Well, I must say I was most disappointed with the film. It was on my to see list. Meaning I was actually looking forward to it. Despite it being a horror genre, I had high hopes for it. However, we were treated to a history lesson(Pharaoh's in Egypt etc., ), which I didn't mind it. I don't mind learning history VISUALLY. However it was all garbish or as me ma would say Gibberish. Didn't understand a word of it. At the same time, it was also a horror film, in that we were treated to fare few scary scenes. My heart was pounding. When I was with me ex, I went through a period of loving horror and devil crap etc., However, I since have fallen out of love for it. With this particular horror, I actually expected the plot to be of similar to that say an alien comes to destroy the planet, everyone gets scared and they have to kill the alien to save humanity. Something along those lines. E.g World War Z. r Zombieland etc., etc., Bottomline is, the plot of As Above, So Below was as confusing as the next guy. From what I could gather, a reporter Scarlett(Weeks) and Benji(Hodge) are looking for some stone would ya believe it a Philosophers Stone(Which kinda makes you think, if the stone is either a real thing or a thing to do with Harry Potter series). Scarlett seeks the help from George(Papillon) which initially she refuses but eventually gets seeked in. He was to do some translation. Scarlett, George and Benji all encounter further guys. Scarlett was told to look for a Papillon(Civil) to help get into the catacombs so to get this special stone. Now when they get down, "All Yee who Enter, Are doomed". They get into a whole hep a baloni. However one thing that was most infuriating was that everytime something bad was happening to the character, the audience would be laughing or whatever. Now normally in a film, if there is a character in a heap of baloni etc., etc., or being shot or having his throat sliced, it would actually be quite the OPPOSITE. The audience would be in total awww and OMG kinda thing. IMDB Forums reminded, me being claustrophobic. I felt like that throughout.
