Woman In Gold

Very heartwarming. Great comical. Dame Helen Mirren's character Maria Altmann very impressive and outstanding performance. Maria only wants whats rightfully hers. The plot is very simple. She wants her Aunts Adele(Traue) painting by Klimt, back in her house. As she said at the very end, she had to "cross the Atlantic", "so my Aunt shall do the same". Austria won't let go of it that easily. Herbertus Czernin(Bruhl) helped them along. He was "proud to be an Austrian". I love these type of movies, based on a true story. Music by far was fantastic. When I was who it was ie Hans Zimmer, I was ecstatic. The film goes back and forward between Past life and Present Life. When Maria had to flee her country her father(Corduner) reminds "We shall speak in the language of your new home". That was really touching especially when ALL three hugged.

Captain Philips

I can see why Captain Phillips won several Oscars in 2013. It tells the true story of a Captain Phillips whose ship Maesrk Alabama was hijacked by Somali Pirates. Philips(Hank) warns the crew, of the impending hijack. They successfully prevent them, however on the 2nd run, they climb aboard the ship. Captain Phillips himself is put into the Lifeboat, as the plans weren't set out as thought. Very well performed. I actually felt Captain Phillips emotions, me heart racing etc., etc., Well played and acted out. Classic quote aswell: "Look at me, "(Somali Pirate), "sure"(Hanks), "Look at me, I'm the Captain Now"(Somali Pirate). I always repeat this.

Gangster Squad

Very good film. Very violent film, wouldn't be my cuppa tea. Tells a true story of Micky Cohen in LA. A gang is put together. One member of the gang is killed, as he's found to have been spying on Mickeys actions. Great action no doubt.
