An Enjoyable film to watch. Plot is very basic, Two turkeys aim to prevent to being put on the menu on the very first Thanksgiving November 1621. A Bit of History was learnt. Most impressed.

The Family

What to say about this particular film. Judging from the Trailer, I expected to be about a family on the run as they are mobsters of Italian decent. Well actually BRooklyn NY. While it did live up to it the plot I mean, I found the film to be a bit loosing at times. Comedy was defo a part of the action. No doubt. At the end thou without me ruining for those who havnet seen it, I was most impressed with the acton in it. I was very nerving throughout the end of the film right til the film finished. OVerall HIghyl Recommended

Philomena

Philomena was a very impressive movie. Very moving, no doubt about that. Judi Dench who played Philomena a very impressive performance. I can smell an Oscar on its way to the actress. The plot of the film very simple but so powerful to the point that I cried meself to sleep last night. Simply put, the story tells of a woman who by the way is actually a true story, is looking for her son which was forcibly given up for adoption. The woman herself was in the Magdalen Laundries. In those days it was shunned or frowned upon to have sex out of wedlock and therefore the Sisters, gave children away to couples who wanted children. Philomena's child was given up. Throughout the film, it was found that the son was gay and died of AIds. and he served or at least was a member of the Ronald Reagan Administration, which we the audience were very impressed.

The Irish Govt and Irish Religious Orders were recently this year under fire for compensation for the treatment the women recieved while in the Laundries. I felt so sorry for them. We all did. Steve Coogan's character Martin a journalist was most impressive. Now am not a fan of his character of Alan PArtridge, prob never will, but the film portrayed a different side to him. Philomena went over to America where the Couple had taken him to, and found out that he was buried back in ROscrea where the Magdalene Laundries were. ONe of the Sisters involved in the whole ordeal was Sr. Hildeberg(something like that). In that she even went as far as, Martin(Coogan) questioning her, not knowing the hardship Philomena went through, Sr. Hildeberg just replied "God will judge me". and in a fit of rage he replies "If Jesus was here, he'd fuck you right out of that wheelchair. ". I prob would have said worse things, cause I don't agree one bit with the Religious Orders what happened. Afterall they wouldn't even support her not one bit.

Very impressive film. The plot is very basic a simple guy addicted to porn but at the same time very religious. Goes to mass every week or whatever. The film life's lesson very simple, Addiction. My rate of it, enjoyable to look at esp to watch My Hunky Burn in Love. Awwwww

Saturday's Visit to HOmophobes

I went to visit one of my homophobes over da weekend ie with a view of getting back with them. It was a very nerving visit as can b expected. However two things were said to me to resolve this whole thing. They seemed under da illusion dat they n others were very well accepting of my sexualaity. One of da items mentioned is to have a meeting with everyone who did me wrong n get to da btm of this. As my therapist n sis says normally anyone coming out dont usually keep dwelling on it for several years let alone weeks r months r whatever. While i welcome it cautiously it was da 2nd item dat got me. They said dere quote not mine: "we cud bring you to court if u weren't family" I was gobsmacked. This in relation to da emails. I didn't defam anyone. It was out of anger but at the same time da truth. And as I can't bear da loss of my inflatables n my Puppies I began strangling myself unconsciously n a bit consciously with my blankies. Nearly passed out I did. Da whole nine yards. BUT let me tell u something dat either weird r miraculous r whatever when all dis was happening I was struggling to breath n I remember opening my door for air and what did I c??? but my beloved Inflatables outside n me still chocking. I cried my heart out when I saw dis. Only for dem I cudve done da inevitable. My therapist did say I was "cheerier" dan when he first met me. I explained dat it was probably because my honeymoon period was over. I was wit my folks my sis. Was in da best of form. My sisters visit da best in a long time. my neighbors ie da homephobes da night before etc. Now I wasn't suicidal no intention of doing it. With me it just happens without me knowing

Ender's Game

I enjoyed this film immensely. However I found the film to be of completely different plot to what I had expected. I had expected that the team were fighting the aliens who were trying to take over the humans in real life however the whole film concentrated on one thing TRAINING. This really bothered me or as Father Ted "Frankly it bored the arse off me" - hahaha. If the director is to get this going Harry Potter financially, it'd better do a bit more than training. Im glad thou the twist was a give away ie the main character Ender is going to save the alien's baby or something like that. It was very touching when Ender realised that the Aliens planet was blown up completely and this really upset him, he all alone thought it was a Test before the final, but unfortunately it was all so real. I was really touched that Enders really cared at the end. ALien's mightned speak our language or mightned be our friend, but at the end of the day, they are there for a reason.  So why not try and find out first before.
